07E02 - Dangerous Curve Ahead

The team discovers Alice's "accountant," who helped her smuggle drug money, but he is killed by the police before he can be questioned. Alice's funds being cut off, Jane hopes this will force her to surface. Maura, whose mental condition isn't restoring to Kent's anguish, finds bovine blood on the accountant's clothing, leading to Alice's arrest at a deli. Lawyer Phillip Dayton gets her released fro lack of physical evidence of Alice's involvement in the shooting. The team connects her previous prison escape to the death of a state trooper, the first case where Frankie can take a lead, while Angela pushes him to resume his affair with Nina, not without avail. Alice taking a teenager hostage at gunpoint forces Jane to shoot her in hopes that people will wonder whether it was in the line of duty or in cold blood. Jane asks a priest for forgiveness of her future actions, at peace with the resolution.
